Dr Paul Hamilton lives in Portadown, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland. He has studied art extensively, and was awarded a doctorate from the University of Ulster.

Hamilton is currently a full-time lecturer in art and design. Prior to his lecturing career he was a self-employed graphic designer and commercial photographer.
